Hot Sauce: Bandname Breakfast Accesories

Info

This is the sauce that started it all. Originally I started making hot sauces to fit a specific breakfast made by my roomates at Big Mama's Warehouse. I chose the finest peppers from our garden and after many batches and a few years i was able to perfect the sauce that perfectly accompanied that very distinct and memorable Bandname Breakfast Taco.

Our bassist Mike Bell coveted an original bottle for four years, using extremely sparingly, knowing that it was the last of the sauce in the world. Finally, when he was down to his last few drops he came to me and said "I need you to recreate this." Thank him when you see him.

This sauce is based on the uncommonly used Pimento Pepper, also known as the Cherry Bomb. Jeremy was growing them in our garden due to their iconic plump juiciness and sharp, quick blast of heat. I supplement with a bit of Habanero and Jalapeno for some heat and earthiness, blend with some vinegar and celery powder, top off with a bit of fresh lemon juice, and you've got a sauce that stands out in flavor without overpowering. A great compliment.
